Travel is my hobby, my interest and my goal! With the newfound freedom of an "empty-nest", I am able to more fully pursue my hearts desire to travel, travel, and travel! My travel interests are many and varied and I am fortunate to have the luxury to travel often within the United States, most recently New York, Louisiana, Boston, Dallas, Seattle, and Vail. Of course, I wouldn't pass up an adventure outside of the U.S. either. Last year's trip to China was eye-opening and unforgettable while I'm hoping for more of the same travel enlightenment from future destinations. As exciting as all of these places are, my own backyard of Orange County, California holds travel treasures of its own. You don't need to look very far to find a yet untried travel experience in this sunshine state.
What would travel or home be without good food and drink! I always have my eyes open for that "hole-in-the-wall" breakfast café or the latest trendy, yet sophisticated, wine bar. Nothing compares to sharing a great meal, whether it's on the road or in your own hometown. Also, I am a budding photographer who finds so much satisfaction when my photos can accompany my writing. I have a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from California State University, Fullerton and I play flute in a city orchestra. Travel, food, family and friends, my "next" life should be full of new adventures and I can't wait to share them with Suite 101 readers.
